Medium - Brass, Pearls ,Glass and Velvet

This is a chatelaine I did for a Final project. A chatelaine is a set of short chains attached to a woman's belt, used for carrying keys or other items historically speaking. I made this one from brass, pearls,glass and velvet. There’s different etchings representing all the places I’ve lived. As well as tools that correspond with the skill set I learned in each environment. Adorning the belt there is a pocket knife, small pencil box, pill box, scissor holder/ scissors, measuring tape and a box made for collecting little items.
